This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Conduct and review general ledger account reconciliations.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close and financial reporting processes.
• Analyze, review, verify, and record transactions in journals, ledgers, and other records.
• Investigate and rectify accounting entries as necessary.
• Prepare and review reports and ad hoc analyses for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate and timely billing.
• Maintain the billing system and generate and dispatch invoices.
• Keep client records related to invoicing and discrepancies in bill payments.
• Monitor aging balances and evaluate collectability.
• Ensure that recorded revenue adheres to US GAAP standards.
• Assist both internal and external auditors during periodic audits.
• Reconcile and adjust bank accounts to effectively manage cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government and tax regulations.
• Provide oversight, mentorship, and support to designated Finance staff.
• Implement departmental policies and procedures, assess performance, and assist with budgeting, strategic planning, and policy formulation.
• Undertake special projects and additional assigned responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proficient in month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliations.
• Prior experience in leadership, supervision, or project management is preferred.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is desirable but not mandatory.
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.
• Capability to read, comprehend, and apply state and federal laws, regulations, and policies.
• Strong leadership and management capabilities.
• Excellent skills in presentation development and delivery.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting and/or finance principles.
• Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Effective time management, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in Outlook and Great Plains software or equivalent ERP systems.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Capacity to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
• Understanding and adherence to company policies and procedures.
