Accounting Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, deferrals, and reclassifications in accordance with US GAAP.

• Take ownership of assigned month-end close responsibilities and adhere to the close calendar.

• Implement ASC 606 revenue-recognition principles for marketplace and wholesale channels.

• Create supporting schedules and deliverables for external auditors.

• Reconcile inventory across locations, sales channels, 3PL warehouses, Amazon FBA, and in-transit inventory with the general ledger.

• Investigate inventory discrepancies and maintain landed-cost calculations.

• Assist in managing reserves for excess and slow-moving inventory.

• Execute receipts, transfers, and various inventory transactions.

• Prepare monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts.

• Conduct flux and trend analyses on balance sheet and P&L accounts.

• Identify and resolve unreconciled items, stale balances, and misclassifications.

• Document accounting processes while identifying manual steps, control gaps, and single points of failure.

• Automate recurring data pulls and reconciliations using Excel/Google Sheets, SQL/BigQuery, or similar tools.

• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketplace teams to enhance upstream data quality.

• Propose and assist in implementing improvements to internal controls.

• Support external auditors and lenders by providing clean and reviewable documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5 years of accounting experience, encompassing full-cycle month-end close.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Proficient understanding of US GAAP, particularly in inventory and revenue recognition.

• Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets, including pivot tables, lookups, and handling large data sets.

• Experience using QuickBooks.

• Strong accuracy, accountability, and ability to meet recurring deadlines.
