Accounting Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Assist in the onboarding process for new clients and the establishment of accounting systems.

• Oversee daily bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, monthly closings, financial reporting, and analysis.

• Utilize company software for accounting, reporting, and tax-related functions.

• Prepare payroll, sales tax returns, depreciation schedules, and other necessary accounting documentation.

• Provide support during audits and reconciliations.

• Analyze financial data to project revenue and assess profit margins.

• Prepare and submit U.S. corporate and individual income tax returns, including 1099s and year-end filings.

• Investigate complex tax and accounting issues and offer practical solutions.

• Contribute to special projects and assist in the preparation of financial reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as accounting, finance, economics, business, etc.

• At least 2 years of experience in accounting, audit, and/or tax.

• Possession of a Turkish CPA (SMMM) License will be regarded as a significant advantage.

• Experience in outsourced accounting services is a considerable plus.

• Familiarity with USGAAP is a strong advantage.

• Comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Experience with Accounting Software Systems is a significant plus.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Business English; all interviews will be conducted in English.

• Ability to perform sophisticated and innovative analysis of complex data.

• Quantitative and analytical mindset.

• Strong cross-group collaboration abilities.

• Highly organized with multitasking capabilities, able to function in ambiguous environments.

• Aptitude to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced work setting.

• Attention to detail and adherence to standard procedures is required.

• Home office location is mandatory.

• Work hours will align with US time zones (Eastern Time).
