Senior Manager, Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee the global financial closing and reporting procedures.

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes for Cofense's U.S. and international operations.

• Ensure the accuracy and promptness of consolidated financial reports.

• Review and authorize journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

• Supervise the consolidation of international subsidiaries, intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, and equity-method entries.

• Conduct monthly variance analysis and provide insights to senior leadership.

• Responsible for lease accounting under ASC 842 and related disclosures.

• Act as the main liaison for external auditors and oversee audit timelines and requests.

• Maintain and enhance internal controls related to closing and reporting.

• Guide, mentor, and develop the Senior Accountant and Accounts Payable Manager.

• Manage team workload and capacity during the closing cycle.

• Lead the onboarding and training process for new team members.

• Conduct performance evaluations and assist in career development planning.

• Collaborate with the Global Controller on technical accounting research and documentation.

• Promote automation of the closing process and optimize systems within NetSuite and related tools.

• Work together with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and other business units.

• Assist with system implementations, entity restructurings, and process documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is mandatory.

• CPA license is required or must be actively pursuing.

• A minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity or global consolidation experience.

• At least 2 years of experience directly managing or supervising accounting personnel.

• Strong familiarity with U.S. GAAP, including consolidations, intercompany accounting, and foreign currency translation.

• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system is highly preferred.

• Previous experience in the SaaS or technology sector is an advantage.

• Proven ability to manage competing deadlines within a lean team structure.

• Track record of meeting closing deadlines despite resource constraints.

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

• Experience presenting to senior leadership and external auditors.

• High level of attention to detail.

• Ability to effectively prioritize and delegate tasks.
