Accounting Associate, Accounts Receivable

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Input invoices and payment details for clients within Microsoft AX.

• Generate and distribute customer invoices and statements.

• Execute customer payment processing, debit memos, credit memos, and write-offs.

• Maintain comprehensive customer master account data.

• Handle credit applications and establish new customer accounts.

• Communicate with customers regarding inquiries, issues, payment statuses, non-payment reasons, and collection follow-ups.

• Investigate customer and accounts receivable queries and correspondence.

• Compile aging reports for management's review.

• Create monthly reconciliation reports between Microsoft AX and Retail Pro.

• Take on future responsibilities for managing the performance of the Accounts Receivable department.

• Enhance accounts receivable processes utilizing AI tools.

• Ensure prompt and accurate invoicing, collection of overdue receivables, follow-up on past-due accounts, and precise posting of daily customer payments.

• Assist with customer credit applications and approvals, account analysis, customer statements, resolution of billing/payment discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory.

• Must exhibit the ability to read, speak, and write in English effectively.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.

• A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience as an Accounting Associate focused on Accounts Receivable.

• At least 8 years of experience in accounts receivable billing and collection.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in applying payments to open invoices.

• At least 8 years of experience in customer correspondence and account reconciliation.

• Familiarity with Microsoft AX and Retail Pro is necessary.

• Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe PDF, and other relevant software.

• Understanding of SharePoint, Business Objects, and Workfront is beneficial.

• Minimum Internet speed requirement: 100 Mbps upload/download.

• A quiet, private, and distraction-free home workspace with no conflicting responsibilities during scheduled shifts is essential.
