This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Process and route vendor bills through an Accounts Payable (AP) platform for approval and payment.
• Ensure accurate coding of bills to the appropriate entity, class, and General Ledger (GL) account.
• Monitor payment timelines and address outstanding approvals, payments, and vendor inquiries.
• Maintain organized AP records while identifying discrepancies, duplicate invoices, and unusual vendor activities.
• Manage employee expense reporting from start to finish, encompassing policy reviews, coding, completeness, and follow-up on documentation.
• Classify and code Accounts Payable, employee expenses, credit card transactions, and other financial activities.
• Review, correct, and ensure the accuracy of transactions across multiple entities.
• Oversee the initial month-end close for assigned entities.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts, investigating any discrepancies that arise.
• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) and balance sheet reports for internal assessment.
• Maintain supporting documentation for reconciliations and closing tasks.
• Keep leadership updated on accounting issues and the overall status of the financial records.
• Act as the primary contact for day-to-day financial activities and bookkeeping inquiries.
• Assist in the preparation of final financial reporting packages and supporting schedules for prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, intercompany balances, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Enhance close processes, accounting documentation, controls, and entity-level bookkeeping as the organization expands.
• Over 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, with substantial experience supporting US-based companies.
• Strong grasp of US accounting and bookkeeping standards.
• Practical experience with QuickBooks Online or a similar accounting software.
• Background in accounts payable, expense management, reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
• Comprehensive understanding of GL coding and the structure of chart-of-accounts.
• Experience in preparing or reviewing P&L and balance sheet reports.
• Familiarity with bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Comfortable engaging directly with employees, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Experience working across multiple entities.
• Familiarity with financial operations platforms such as Ramp, Bill.com, Brex, Expensify, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of US GAAP standards.
• Experience with accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and related supporting schedules.
• Background in a startup, high-growth company, or outsourced accounting environment.
• Proven track record of improving accounting processes rather than merely adhering to established procedures.
