This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and/or maintenance of various accounting processes across multiple functions within the accounting department.
• Manage journal entries, general ledger activities, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and revenue reconciliation, among others.
• Analyze and interpret financial reporting requirements, regulations, and guidelines.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and conduct reviews of numerous account reconciliations for both domestic and international entities.
• Track and create monthly reports detailing revenues and expenditures for different projects.
• Enhance the record keeping of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
• Generate federal, state, and local reports as well as tax returns and filings.
• Establish processes and procedures that accurately capture, track, and report revenues, including deferred revenue, in compliance with the company's revenue recognition policy, and produce revenue reports for both internal and external use.
• Recommend process improvements and best practices.
• Undertake additional ad hoc tasks and reporting as requested by management.
• Leverage professional concepts and company objectives to creatively and effectively resolve complex issues.
• Address complex issues requiring in-depth analysis of situations or data involving multiple variable factors.
• Collaborate with key contacts beyond one's own area of expertise.
• Define methods and procedures for new assignments and may oversee the activities of other personnel.
• Perform additional duties as necessary.
• A minimum of 4 years of hands-on General Ledger (GL) accounting experience.
• A Bachelor's degree (B.S/B.A) from a four-year college or university, along with 8+ years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven skills in preparing and posting complex journal entries, including those related to prepaid amortization, fixed asset depreciation, payroll accounting, accruals, and month-end adjustments.
• Significant experience in performing routine GL balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses.
• Practical experience in a multi-entity structure, managing intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliations.
• A solid background in project accounting, including tracking project costs, allocations, and revenue alignment.
• Familiarity with statutory audit processes, audit compliance, GST filings, and corporate Income Tax regulations.
• Experience in professional services, people-centric organizations, and dynamic financial modeling.
• A strong technology background is essential due to the IT-focused nature of our business.
• Proficient in reconciliation and possessing problem identification and solving skills.
• Expert-level proficiency in MS Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill extensive and varied information into clear and actionable messages.
• Capability to collaborate with peers and counterparts in a global and multi-location environment.
• Experience with HRIS accounting modules.
• Familiarity with international standards and US GAAP.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Experience in both public and private sectors.
• Preferred experience in system implementations.
• Must be capable of performing office-related tasks which may involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
• Must be able to navigate within an office environment.
• Ability to operate a computer is required.
• Effective communication skills are essential.
• Some positions may necessitate occasional repetitive motions or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
