Accounting Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accurately process and apply customer payments in NetSuite.

• Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on overdue accounts to minimize DSO.

• Generate and review invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with contracts.

• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable and deferred revenue.

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for accounts receivable, billing, and subscription metrics.

• Analyze financial and operational data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Prepare management reports and presentations to aid in strategic decision-making.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish KPIs and enhance reporting accuracy.

• Track renewals, cancellations, and adjustments within NetSuite.

• Ensure correct revenue recognition and support automation initiatives for subscription reporting.

• Validate tax calculations on invoices and ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements.

• Assist with monthly SST filings while maintaining accurate tax documentation.

• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency within accounts receivable, billing, and reporting workflows.

• Recommend and implement process improvements based on data analysis.

• Perform other assigned duties as reasonably requested.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or business analysis roles.

• Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is preferred.

• Strong understanding of subscription billing and revenue recognition concepts.

• Knowledge of SST compliance and tax reporting regulations.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

• Excellent communication skills for both internal and external interactions.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other analytical tools is preferred.

• Experience with automation tools and dashboard creation is preferred.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines is preferred.
