Accounting & Advisory Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct interviews with partners and subject matter experts to create original thought leadership content.

• Craft technically precise articles that address accounting, tax, advisory, business management, and related subjects.

• Quickly adapt to various practice areas and industries.

• Convert complex accounting and advisory concepts into clear, engaging content suitable for executives and business leaders.

• Uphold the firm's professional brand voice in all produced content.

• Generate polished first drafts that need minimal revisions from internal marketing and partners.

• Create content that reflects the voice of an experienced advisor, avoiding the tone of a textbook or generic AI-generated writing.

• Write in a succinct, conversational executive style that is easily digestible in about five minutes.

• Balance technical proficiency with accessibility, using strong structure, shorter paragraphs, bullet points where applicable, and actionable insights.

• Capture the distinct voice of the client’s partners while requiring little editing from the internal marketing team.

• Help distinguish the client by effectively communicating the reasons clients should choose the firm, rather than merely explaining accounting concepts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in writing thought leadership for professional services organizations.

• Experience in interviewing senior subject matter experts and translating their technical knowledge into executive-level content.

• Strong research and analytical writing capabilities.

• Ability to simplify intricate accounting, tax, or advisory concepts without compromising technical accuracy.

• Experience in adapting to various industries and diverse business audiences.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to editorial precision.

• Strongly Preferred

• Experience writing for CPA firms, accounting firms, or advisory organizations.

• Ghostwriting for partners, executives, attorneys, or leaders in professional services.

• Experience covering topics in accounting, audit, tax, finance, business advisory, or regulatory issues.

• Background in business, finance, accounting, economics, or journalism.

• Professional accounting credentials (CPA, EA, ACA, ACCA, CTA) are welcomed but not mandatory.
