Accountant – Comprehensive Operational Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Design and implement performance metrics for quality assurance in accounting practices

• Process, balance, and report data utilizing Microsoft Access databases

• Reconcile and balance net payouts and check issuance reports

• Analyze and account for capitation and interest expenses

• Reconcile associated general ledger accounts

• Manage all reinsurance contracts

• Test and balance financial software systems

• Ensure the establishment of proper internal controls

• Generate comprehensive, accurate, and well-documented work products

• Adhere to set milestones and delivery timelines

• Collaborate with clients in the defense and security sectors, including the Drug Enforcement Administration

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

• Four to six years of relevant experience

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities

• Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Access

• Proficient analytical capabilities

• Expertise in advanced Excel functions

• Experience in financial reconciliation and quality assurance within accounting practices

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe

• Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools

• Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills for effective team management

• Exceptional time management and prioritization skills

• Ability to adapt to shifting project requirements and priorities

• Capability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory
