Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage daily accounting operations, which includes processing and recording all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

• Review and authorize AP/AR entries to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to management review.

• Prepare and record month-end closing journal entries, encompassing accruals and partner reconciliations.

• Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheets while supporting variance and flux analysis.

• Facilitate the monthly closing process by ensuring timely approvals, accurate documentation, and maintaining clean financial data.

• Aid in audit preparation by organizing records and responding to auditor inquiries.

• Collaborate with the Senior Accountant and the broader Finance team to adhere to workflows, integrate feedback, and enhance processes.

• Assist in transitioning accounting functions from an external accounting firm to in-house operations and contribute to the establishment of scalable internal accounting practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3+ years of general accounting experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

• Demonstrated experience in various core accounting principles, journal entries, and month-end closing procedures.

• Experience in a private company setting is essential, or transitioned from public to private accounting for a minimum of one year.

• Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative and accountability.

• Excellent attention to detail, ability to complete tasks efficiently, and strong organizational skills.
