Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist in commercial and operational analysis, reporting, and the creation of dashboards to monitor business performance.

• Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the global organization to deliver financial insights and support.

• Aid in the month-end closing process, including the preparation of journals and reviews of the balance sheet.

• Conduct bank reconciliations, oversee cash movements, and assist with intercompany cash tracking.

• Provide support for accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.

• Oversee the finance inbox and manage other financial administrative tasks.

• Facilitate continuous improvement in finance processes and internal controls.

• Deliver insights that inform critical business decisions.

• Collaborate with a small, high-performing finance team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or a newly qualified accountant.

• Strong analytical abilities with a passion for interpreting and communicating financial information.

• Proficient in Excel and comfortable with learning new systems.

• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Proactive, inquisitive, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment.

• Self-motivated individual who takes initiative and drives tasks to completion with minimal supervision.

• Adept at reconciling data and identifying missing or inconsistent information before it escalates into an issue.

• Experience with Canadian and/or US sales tax would be beneficial.
