This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Drive product promotion to achieve or surpass sales objectives in community/private practices, hospitals, and healthcare systems.
• Establish and nurture connections with neurology, pain medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, primary care, pharmacy, urology, urogynecology, obstetrics and gynecology, female pelvic medicine, ambulatory surgical centers, and reconstructive surgery departments/accounts.
• Adhere to company policies, fulfill required reports, requests, and promotional compliance obligations.
• Effectively manage AbbVie field assets.
• Recognize customer needs, encompassing training, clinical, operational, and reimbursement requirements.
• Address customer requirements utilizing appropriate AbbVie resources.
• Provide anatomical and procedural information and training, including anatomical terminology and injection paradigms/postures.
• Educate and train clinical/injection processes for residents, fellows, and hospital staff.
• Collaborate with fellow Account Specialists to endorse products for approved indications.
• Conduct resident/fellow training sessions within hospital/health system accounts.
• Leverage AbbVie sales and data resources to boost productivity and product growth.
• Execute the U.S. Marketing Plan.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• Relevant and equivalent industry experience is necessary in lieu of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five (5) years of technical experience, with three (3) or more years in sales preferred.
• A high school diploma/GED is required.
• Capability to manage a complex sell and rapidly acquire procedural, technical, clinical, and anatomical information.
• Proficiency in communicating, presenting, and training diverse audiences.
• Experience with Buy & Bill and/or Specialty Pharmacy products is preferred in health systems and private practice.
• Ability to lift/pull training models weighing between 25–100 lbs.
• Capability to meet hospital credentialing/vaccination standards.
• A valid driver’s license is necessary.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
• Willingness to travel sufficiently to cover the territory, including overnight attendance at scheduled training events and sales meetings.
• A documented history of strong sales performance is preferred, ideally in clinical/technical/consultative sales involving multiple decision-makers.
• Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain these credentials.
