This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire, +1 more state.
• Promote and provide support for all products in the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division.
• Establish and nurture effective, long-term relationships with customers.
• Identify and cultivate strategic opportunities for account growth.
• Act as the main point of contact for accounts and deliver sales expertise.
• Recognize and prioritize potential new client opportunities.
• Formulate strategies for solution implementation and account expansion.
• Enhance the share of wallet from existing accounts.
• Manage account relationships to foster growth and renewals across analytical instruments, consumables, and services.
• Offer product support, consultation, problem-solving, and expedite order processing.
• Determine and verify the optimal technology solutions for customer requirements.
• Generate quotations, negotiate contracts, and finalize orders with end users and purchasing departments.
• Assist with procurement procedures.
• Utilize data and metrics to create and report on account strategies and tactics.
• Develop sales strategies for the territory and maintain a pipeline to achieve or surpass quarterly sales goals.
• Employ Thermo Fisher Scientific sales tools to manage accounts, opportunities, pipelines, and forecasts.
• Keep track of competitor and industry activities and introduce new products and services.
• Collaborate with technical sales, field application, lab application, and IES specialists.
• Lead and participate in technical business presentations, trade shows, user meetings, and customer events.
• Share account information and sales leads across commercial divisions.
• Analyze sales data, market trends, customer behavior, and financial metrics to create projections and revenue forecasts.
• A minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience in analytical instrument markets, demonstrating a history of meeting sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong understanding of the market and a well-established professional network.
• Experience in delivering on-site customer seminars and technical presentations.
• A commercially driven mindset with a strong desire to acquire new business.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish as required for the designated region.
• Proven commercial excellence in a matrix work environment.
• Competency in MS Office and CRM systems.
• Capability to explain and market the technical features of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s scientific product offerings.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites up to 80%, including overnight stays.
