This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Present and promote Merit medical products to both new and existing clients.
• Follow up with customers to ensure that delivered products align with their requirements.
• Conduct in-service presentations for clinicians regarding new products and their applications.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients and assess their needs.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to guarantee timely and precise product deliveries.
• Gather customer feedback on product requirements and potential innovations.
• Identify potential clients and introduce them to Merit offerings.
• Track customer satisfaction levels and pinpoint areas for improvement.
• Create tailored drawings for custom kits or manifolds.
• Prepare and submit pricing contracts for products.
• Spot opportunities to enhance sales volume and profitability.
• Address manufacturing or delivery issues faced by clients.
• Make product pricing decisions within authorized limits.
• Compile monthly reports on sales outcomes, contacts, product modifications needed, and improvement procedures.
• Engage in sales training and planning sessions.
• Stay informed about Merit and competitor products.
• Establish and attain sales performance targets.
• Travel by car, airplane, bus, and other means for sales responsibilities.
• Perform additional sales-related tasks as necessary.
• Education and/or experience equivalent to a relevant Bachelor's Degree.
• At least three years of direct sales experience, preferably in medical product sales.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to comprehend the needs of others in a sales context.
• High level of personal motivation and determination to meet both personal and professional objectives.
• Exceptional oral presentation abilities and quick analytical thinking when addressing problems and providing explanations to medical technicians and clinicians.
• Capability to learn the use of medical equipment and identify potential enhancements in its application.
• Effective team collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in business mathematics to perform percentage calculations and prepare financial and sales data.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to record, report, and document work effectively.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work extended hours as needed.
• Excellent driving record, with no accidents in the past three years or no more than one driving violation in the last three years.
• Demonstrable computer skills, particularly in spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and other relevant software applications.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform tasks that involve exposure to blood or body fluids (Infectious Control Risk Category I).
