This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of and enhance CivilGrid’s presence within government sectors across the Western US.
• Achieve and surpass sales objectives.
• Lead intricate public sector sales processes from initial prospecting to the final contract execution.
• Obtain executive sponsorship from capital program directors, engineering leaders, and GIS/asset management teams.
• Conduct pilots with success metrics linked to government KPIs.
• Transition pilots into long-term enterprise agreements or master contracts.
• Create targeted outbound campaigns aimed at government buyer profiles.
• Navigate government procurement procedures, including RFP/RFQ submissions, cooperative purchasing options, and public-sector compliance standards.
• Develop executive presentations, ROI assessments, and business cases.
• Maintain stakeholder engagement throughout extensive government procurement processes.
• Represent CivilGrid at industry conferences related to government, infrastructure, and public works.
• Utilize and expand a personal network within the public sector and government infrastructure to generate opportunities and enhance the pipeline.
• Report directly to the Head of Sales.
• Over 5 years of experience in enterprise sales with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
• Proven experience in selling software or technology solutions to state or local government entities, including cities, public works departments, municipalities, or public agencies.
• Comprehensive understanding of government agency purchasing, including capital program budgeting cycles, RFP/RFQ processes, cooperative purchasing methods, and multi-stakeholder approval workflows.
• Demonstrated capability to manage complex deals with lengthy sales cycles involving capital planning, engineering, GIS, IT, and procurement stakeholders.
• Familiarity with government infrastructure terminology, encompassing capital programs, right-of-way, corridor projects, NEPA review, federal funding mandates, paving coordination, and permitting.
• Exceptional communication abilities, with the capacity to tailor messaging for agency executives, technical teams, and operational stakeholders.
• Highly competitive, motivated, and results-driven.
• Proficient in utilizing sales platforms such as SFDC, Gong, ZoomInfo, Salesloft, or Outreach.
• Residing in the Western US.
• Willingness to travel within the region up to 50%.
