This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Nurture and qualify leads from clients in the biotechnology sector.
• Assist biotechnology clients in progressing their research, clinical, and/or commercial initiatives.
• Enhance awareness and utilize Tempus products and services for data, testing, and patient recruitment assistance.
• Propel strategic business growth and collaboration prospects with leads from Biotech and Big Pharma.
• Formulate strategic plans to acquire new clients.
• Create tailored outreach strategies based on prospect personas.
• Evaluate sales opportunities and meet monthly targets.
• Execute Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs).
• Compile target prospect lists and oversee the management of the business portfolio.
• Work collaboratively with Business Development, General Managers, Directors, Vice Presidents, Translational, and Operations teams.
• Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities between potential biotechnology clients and Tempus.
• Source leads, map stakeholders, and create client pipeline opportunities.
• Track sales performance to ensure goal achievement.
• Represent the Tempus culture to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Operate remotely with a strong sense of individual accountability.
• Seek personal and professional development.
• Ideally possess 2+ years of inside sales experience, preferably within the healthcare industry.
• Demonstrated history of meeting or surpassing performance expectations.
• Capable of engaging in consultative selling and addressing objections effectively.
• Comfortable conducting sales conversations at the executive level (CEO, COO, CFO).
• Ability to work autonomously, communicate proactively, juggle multiple projects, prioritize daily responsibilities, and meet critical deadlines.
• Exceptional negotiation and customer service abilities.
• Excellent strategic sales account planning capabilities.
• Proven expertise in managing the sales process effectively.
• Strong listening and problem-solving skills.
• Capacity to handle confidential information and maintain a high level of discretion.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Regular and effective use of Salesforce.com.
• Ability to cultivate and leverage cross-functional relationships.
• Advanced presentation skills and business insight.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and technical learning abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Robust administrative capabilities and the sophistication to navigate complex business environments.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated integrity, respect, and trustworthiness.
