Account Executive

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Consistently achieve or surpass quarterly and annual booking objectives along with pipeline targets.

• Ensure accurate forecasting within Gong.

• Foster a sense of urgency in all deals and adhere to timelines for closure.

• Keep Salesforce up-to-date with next steps, closure dates, deal values, and stakeholder maps.

• Manage the territory as if it were your own business and engage with every account.

• Self-generate pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, and following up on events.

• Investigate district challenges, budget cycles, and decision-making frameworks.

• Maintain a disciplined approach to daily and weekly prospecting activities.

• Cultivate relationships with Superintendents, CAOs, Deputy Superintendents, Directors, and Counselors.

• Identify and involve multiple stakeholders early in each transaction.

• Secure executive sponsors and expedite procurement processes.

• Navigate the intricate K-12 purchasing processes and procurement timelines.

• Present deals transparently during pipeline reviews.

• Clearly articulate customer challenges and align them with SchooLinks solutions.

• Utilize reference accounts to promote regional growth.

• Collaborate with product, implementation, and marketing teams on value propositions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years in a closing sales position with a demonstrated history of meeting sales quotas.

• Hunter mentality — actively prospecting and not depending solely on inbound leads; previous BDR/SDR experience is advantageous.

• Ability to multi-thread — you instinctively build broad and deep relationships within accounts.

• Competitive spirit — you treat sales as a sport and dislike losing more than you enjoy winning.

• Coachable — you accept feedback directly, implement it quickly, and avoid making excuses.

• Quick learner — you grasp new products, features, and market dynamics swiftly.

• Ownership mentality — you proactively identify gaps and take initiative without needing direction.

• Experience in K-12 EdTech or public-sector sales is highly desirable.
