Account Executive

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Business Development, Marketing, and Scientific teams to address customer requirements and propel projects forward.

• Assist Business Development Directors in updating opportunities within Salesforce.

• Oversee the opportunity pipeline, feasibility assessments, and proposal case queues.

• Achieve performance objectives, financial goals, and essential milestones alongside Business Development Directors.

• Keep next steps and customer feedback current in opportunity, feasibility, and proposal pipelines.

• Address the needs of assigned territories by updating opportunity funnels, generating opportunities and quotes, and providing coverage during PTO or vacant territory periods.

• Ensure the integrity of sales database data and submit cases for feasibility evaluation.

• Facilitate the feasibility of opportunities, generate sales quotes, and finalize purchase orders in Salesforce.

• Build and sustain client relationships while effectively communicating core competencies.

• Engage relevant internal teams to further client discussions and fulfill research requirements.

• Present and assess the viability of client projects with subject matter experts, proposal, and legal contracting teams.

• Create sales pipeline reports, account briefings, and various other reports.

• Propel sales calls and secure business by establishing and executing clear next steps.

• Collaborate with Marketing and Feasibility to enhance sales success.

• Gather market intelligence through documented sales calls and client feedback.

• Gain confidence in presenting Discovery Life Sciences service offerings to prospective clients.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a science-related discipline.

• 1 to 3 years of experience in biotechnology, life sciences, sales, or a related sector.

• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities.

• Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Capability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.

• Familiarity with Salesforce.com or other CRM platforms is advantageous.

• Must be able to operate in the eastern or central US time zone.

• Less than 5% domestic or international travel is required for mandatory site meetings and trainings.

• Cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of applicant work visas.
