This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Drive the growth of new business while managing the designated territory.
• Conduct face-to-face sales meetings with municipalities, engineering firms, and contractors.
• Establish a cold-call pipeline to discover new opportunities.
• Host lunch-and-learn sessions to inform stakeholders and demonstrate Armorock’s value.
• Create and implement a written territory Strategic Playbook with monthly and quarterly objectives.
• Lead reviews of sewer systems in collaboration with municipalities.
• Obtain speaking engagements and participate in regional trade shows, associations, and technical events.
• Identify municipalities and devise strategies to secure their business.
• Oversee the specification flip process from auditing to stakeholder meetings.
• Monitor specification progress and APL milestones using Salesforce.
• Keep an eye on CIP plans and ConstructConnect for early-stage project opportunities.
• Foster partnerships with engineering firms to include Armorock in design standards and upcoming projects.
• Conduct market research and engage in outbound prospecting.
• Document customer interactions, pipeline progress, and tasks in the CRM on a daily basis.
• Maintain comprehensive account profiles and relationship histories.
• Manage deals from lead generation to closure, including follow-ups on quotes, design discussions, and handoffs.
• Collaborate with Estimating, Project Management, account managers, and Plant teams.
• Provide leadership with insights on market competition, pricing trends, and entry barriers.
• Assist in hiring and mentoring junior team members as necessary.
• Professionally represent Armorock in the assigned region and take ownership of challenges until resolved.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred, ideally in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Equivalent experience in municipal or technical sales will be highly regarded.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of successful B2B or municipal sales experience, preferably within infrastructure, construction materials, civil engineering products, or related sectors.
• Proven ability to build new businesses from the ground up and consistently exceed sales targets in a self-driven role.
• Experience interacting directly with municipalities, engineers, and contractors.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% depending on the territory.
• Comfortable meeting clients face-to-face, performing job site visits, and leading lunch-and-learn sessions.
• Possess an entrepreneurial mindset with a builder’s mentality.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong presentation abilities, particularly in delivering lunch-and-learns and representing the company at trade shows or council meetings.
• Highly organized and disciplined; capable of managing lengthy sales cycles, follow-up processes, and multiple active opportunities.
• Proficient in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
• Basic knowledge of engineering drawings, municipal procurement processes, and public infrastructure funding mechanisms is preferred.
• Self-motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented, with a heightened sense of urgency and accountability.
• Must be able to remain seated for 50% of the time.
