Access Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Collect essential insurance details

• Input patient/guarantor data into the computer system for precise claim processing

• Confirm insurance coverage

• Choose appropriate ICD-10 or HCPC codes

• Manage prior authorizations and pre-certifications

• Assess medical necessity

• Handle referrals and workers' compensation authorizations

• Create service estimates

• Inform patients when services are not covered

• Gather pre-service payments

⛳️ Requirements

• Pre-Service Authorizations Coordinator: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare or health plan environment, capability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced setting, knowledge of referral and authorization processes, or fulfillment of the specified educational qualifications

• Pre-Service DME Coordinator: At least 1 year of DME experience or fulfillment of the specified educational qualifications

• Pre-Service Financial Coordinator: Minimum of 1 year of collections experience and familiarity with pre-service or financial counseling, or fulfillment of the specified educational qualifications

• Population Health Authorization Coordinator: At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare or health plan setting, capability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, knowledge of referral and authorization processes, or fulfillment of the specified educational qualifications

• Specifically for Pre-Service Authorizations Coordinator: Graduate of an LPN, Medical Secretary, Health Unit Coordinator, Medical Assistant, Paramedic, EMT, Pharmacy Tech, General Associate Degree program, or a related field

• Day rotation availability

• Work authorization/location: Brainerd, Minnesota, United States
