Academic Content Developer – Financial Data Engineering, Credit Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop module content for the Fintech Engineering Specialization at Jala University.

• Create practical labs for hands-on learning.

• Build a reference implementation to guide students.

• Construct an evaluation harness for assessment purposes.

• Prepare a comprehensive instructor guide for facilitators.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, including more than 3 years in FinTech, lending, or payments.

• Essential: experience in delivering credit products at a digital lender in LatAm (e.g., ADDI, Stori, Aflore, Finkargo, Creditas, or similar).

• Familiarity with loan origination processes, including amortization schedules (Price / SAC), interest accrual, and automated credit decision-making.

• Experience with integrations from credit bureaus (e.g., Serasa, Boa Vista, Buró de Crédito, Datacrédito, TransUnion).

• Understanding of collections state machines and portfolio monitoring techniques.

• Knowledge of funding structures such as FIDC or their equivalents.

• Awareness of consumer credit regulations in LatAm.

• Commitment to reproducibility: maintaining pinned dependencies, utilizing containers, conducting seeded runs, and documenting parameters.

• Public writing samples that showcase technical explanations to a publication standard.

• Proficient in writing clear, production-ready code examples in Go and TypeScript / Node.js.

• Strong proficiency in written English.
