Academic Coach

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate student performance metrics and develop actionable academic reports.

• Take responsibility for academic results for a designated group of students, which includes making placement and testing decisions as well as follow-up actions.

• Facilitate swift academic rescue sessions to identify and address student challenges.

• Lead post-test coaching sessions to pinpoint knowledge gaps and careless errors, and determine subsequent steps.

• Directly mentor students through building trust, providing honest feedback, and maintaining high expectations.

• Collaborate with academic leaders and support parents by flagging risks, recognizing data trends, and enhancing tools and processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of one year in a coaching, instructional, or training capacity with a documented impact or clear feedback regarding your contributions.

• At least one year of substantial, hands-on experience working with K-8 students; occasional tutoring does not qualify.

• Genuine experience in data science, education, EdTech, or student support roles that merge analytical skills with direct interpersonal interaction.

• Proficient in using Google Sheets, including lookups, filters, pivot tables, and charts.

• Strong command of written and spoken English.

• High emotional intelligence; capable of establishing trust and engaging in difficult conversations.

• Experience utilizing AI tools for data analysis or automating workflows that demonstrate measurable efficiency improvements.

• Demonstrated ownership and accountability for results.

• Fully remote position, open globally; must have reliable internet and a quiet environment for video sessions.

• Availability during standard U.S. business hours, Central Time.

• Bonus: Familiarity with Wyzant, Preply, or similar tutoring platforms.
