This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Assist in all facets of the Bank's Asset-Based Lending platform, encompassing operations, portfolio oversight, and underwriting.
• Deliver analytical and operational assistance for the ABL portfolio and emerging business opportunities.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the Bank's ABL platform.
• Provide support for wider Middle Market lending initiatives, potentially dedicating up to about 50% of your time.
• Evaluate borrowing base certificates along with relevant collateral documentation.
• Aid in calculating availability, processing funding requests, conducting reconciliations, and monitoring collateral.
• Keep track of reporting reminders, collateral documentation, loan agreements, and operational reports.
• Assist with cash management, dominion processing, and tracking exceptions.
• Oversee collateral performance, compliance with covenants, reporting obligations, and borrower progress.
• Support annual reviews, renewals, amendments, and portfolio reporting tasks.
• Analyze financial reports to identify possible credit risks.
• Facilitate client relationship management and portfolio oversight activities.
• Assist in underwriting new lending opportunities and requests from the existing portfolio.
• Examine financial statements, collateral trends, and borrowing base assets.
• Prepare financial spreads, collateral assessments, and credit approval documents.
• Support due diligence, transaction closing, and onboarding processes.
• Help implement ABL procedures, workflows, and technological solutions.
• Provide support to portfolio managers, underwriters, and operational staff.
• Offer analytical assistance to broader Middle Market lending teams as business requirements dictate.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial lending, ABL, portfolio management, underwriting, credit analysis, or related financial services.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite and the capacity to learn and utilize other Customers Bank applications.
• Awareness of AI and automation tools that enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and improve client engagement.
