This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
β’ Offer risk assessment oversight, clinical decision-making, and guidance to 911 Crisis Diversion Specialists through consultation and coaching during live calls.
β’ Create crisis intervention plans and facilitate referrals to vital community resources.
β’ Oversee service delivery via phone and, in the future, chat/text platforms.
β’ Ensure that callers receive emotional support and are referred to the appropriate level of care.
β’ Supervise 911 Crisis Diversion Specialists and provide general oversight and direction to other staff during scheduled shifts.
β’ Assist staff in evaluating risk of harm and mental illness while implementing clinical interventions and accessing community resources.
β’ Guarantee screening and linkage to Next Day Appointments, Children's Crisis Outreach and Response System, Mobile Crisis Teams, Geriatric Regional Assessment Team, Designated Crisis Responders, and other outreach services.
β’ Provide continuous and immediate feedback to Diversion Specialist and Information and Referral Specialist staff.
β’ Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to by staff answering the line.
β’ Identify callers known to the agency who may have case plans on record.
β’ Ensure accurate and thorough documentation in the designated electronic health record.
β’ Maintain fidelity to 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline risk assessment requirements and AIRS information and referral standards.
β’ Deliver compassionate, respectful, professional, and recovery-oriented services.
β’ Facilitate training and job shadowing for new team members.
β’ Keep up with professional literature and behavioral health knowledge; complete at least 12 hours of approved training per FTE.
β’ Attend assigned staff meetings and perform other responsibilities as assigned.
β’ Candidates must reside in WA, TX, AZ, or OH.
β’ Mental Health Professional (MHP) status as defined by Washington Administrative Code (WAC 246-341-0515) and Revised Code of Washington (RCW 71.05 and 71.34).
β’ Must possess one active Washington credential or license: LICSW/LSWAIC, LMHC/LMHCA, LMFT/LMFTA, Psychiatric ARNP, Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Licensed Psychological Associate, Physician Assistant working under a psychiatrist, or Certified/Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor.
β’ Employees are required to maintain current licensure and meet continuing education obligations.
β’ Additional certifications in crisis intervention, suicide prevention, or trauma-informed care are highly encouraged.
β’ Clinical proficiency in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and mental health.
β’ Capability to sit or stand for extended periods.
β’ Ability to use a headset or earphones while taking calls and participating in meetings.
β’ Proficient in managing several IT/software platforms simultaneously in a moderately noisy and distracting environment.
β’ Comfort in handling conversations related to suicide, mental health issues, and crisis situations.
β’ Successful completion of a background check, including a Criminal History Report and Reference Check.
β’ Successful completion of a basic Computer Skills assessment.
β’ Smartphone capable of downloading the Microsoft Multi-factor Authentication application.
