This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.
• Assist the Pharmacy Department in enhancing operational efficiency through effective fiscal management, data analysis, and the preparation of departmental statistics and reports.
• Execute billing, accounting, financial reconciliation, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Assess medication purchases, revenue, contract pharmacy fees, pricing, compliance, and identify savings opportunities.
• Oversee 340B split billing, split matching, contract pharmacy tracking, and financial reporting across System entities.
• Produce budget, expense, pharmacy spend advisor, cost savings, and year-end reports.
• Supply data related to drug utilization, purchasing, billing, reimbursement, and performance improvement efforts.
• Detect irregular spending, system failures, negative 340B accumulation, and potential opportunities for practice modifications.
• Collaborate with pharmacy management, hospital departments, vendors, and the System Director of Pharmacies.
• Contribute to budgets, external audits, departmental objectives, committees, task forces, projects, and the education of 340B professionals.
• Maintain financial records, policies and procedures, safeguards, system integrity, ordering processes, invoices, shipping, and inventory processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Hospital Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field with two years of pharmacy or healthcare experience, or one year of pharmacy financial reporting experience.
• Associate degree in a relevant field with four years of pharmacy or healthcare experience, or three years of pharmacy financial reporting experience.
• High school diploma with eight years of experience in a healthcare environment.
• Two years of experience in a professional healthcare role, preferably within Pharmacy.
• Must possess a pharmacy technician license.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Access.
• Capability to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and push 50 pounds.
