340B Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the 340B Drug Pricing Program while ensuring compliance with program standards and HRSA qualification criteria.

• Enhance the performance of the 340B program through effective surveillance, compliance monitoring, and optimization efforts.

• Identify and escalate operational or compliance challenges in partnership with internal audits and 340B Auditors.

• Offer guidance to pharmacy buyers and staff regarding compliant purchasing, inventory management, and cost-saving practices.

• Facilitate ongoing training, education, and communication related to the 340B program for personnel and leadership in covered entities.

• Establish and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Generate and maintain monthly metrics and financial savings reports for the 340B program.

• Analyze reports, perform variance analysis, and pinpoint opportunities for cost savings and system enhancements.

• Act as the expert for split billing software; resolve issues and enhance its functionality.

• Manage the integration of 340B software with clinical information systems, EMR, virtual accumulators, and contract pharmacy providers.

• Address real-time site issues related to split billing software, electronic medical records, and charge masters.

• Collaborate with Epic charge teams and charge master managers to develop corrective action plans.

• Coordinate resolution of issues with split billing software vendors.

• Ensure software configurations are consistent with revenue cycle practices, Epic build, and organizational policies.

• Raise compliance concerns and devise and implement mitigation action plans.

• Participate in committees overseeing the 340B program and assist in developing or revising policies and procedures.

• Provide coaching and educational support on compliance to pharmacy staff and participants.

• Conduct internal audits and data analyses to detect risks and avert compliance breaches.

• Document audit outcomes, communicate findings, and escalate issues as necessary.

• Stay abreast of 340B regulations and legislation, attending relevant training and conferences.

• Become a subject matter expert in areas such as Contract Pharmacy, Policy and Procedure, Data & Reporting, Compliance/Audits, and/or 340B Split Billing Software.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Healthcare Administration/Business, Finance, Information Technology/Analytics, Pharmacy, or a related field (2 years).

• Completion of the 340B University Certificate (Live/On Demand).

• At least 1-2 years of necessary experience with pharmacy 340B.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Software, particularly Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

• Advanced understanding of the 340B Drug Pricing Program and/or healthcare billing regulations and practices.

• Familiarity with Epic Electronic Health Records.

• Experience in auditing hospital charging/patient records.

• Background in 340B Split Billing/Third Party Administrator Software and/or manual 340B operations.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to foster professional relationships across departments.

• Preferred: 2 years of experience in business, analytics, or auditing.

• Preferred: 340B Advanced Operations Certificate.

• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration/Business, Finance, Information Technology/Analytics, Pharmacy, or a related field (4 years).

• Preferred: Capability to initiate 340B operations in a new environment, including program operations design, split billing software or manual tracker setup, staff training, and policy/procedure development.

• Preferred: Knowledge or training in Microsoft Access.

• Preferred: Experience in drafting policies and procedures.

• Preferred: Previous experience in drug purchasing and/or wholesaler operations.

• Preferred: Experience in training employees.

• Preferred: Experience in implementing software solutions.
