2nd Engineer, VLCC Oil Tanker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the efficient operation and upkeep of the engine room and associated machinery.

• Become a part of the growing fleet at Columbia Shipmanagement.

• Work under the terms and conditions outlined in the relevant Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

• Commit to a contract period of 4 months, with the possibility of extension or reduction by 1 month.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a valid Certificate of Competency (COC) as per STCW Regulation III/2, with verification.

• Must hold valid STCW certifications pertinent to the role.

• Demonstrated experience in repairs and dry docking is essential.

• Experience in a multicultural working environment is required.

• Strong communication and leadership abilities are necessary.

• Proficient in English communication.

• A safety-oriented mindset and culture is crucial.

• At least 8 months of experience in the same rank on a vessel of similar type/size.

• Familiarity with Steam Turbines and cargo pump systems is advisable.

• Experience with Crude Oil and Ship-to-Ship (STS) cargo operations is preferred.

• Prior experience in the trading regions of the USA and Australia is recommended.
