This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.
• Deliver high-level support for customer warranty and non-warranty technical requirements across all AHT product lines and services.
• Address intricate technical product challenges.
• Collaborate with Product Management regarding design and application enhancements.
• Execute installations, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial refrigeration units at client sites.
• Maintain advanced expertise in AHT products and services, including installation, programming, and equipment protocols.
• Sustain advanced knowledge of designated third-party products and services.
• Diagnose and repair heat pump issues to minimize downtime.
• Create work instructions and technical product documentation for both AHT and third-party products and services.
• Contribute knowledgebase materials for future reference.
• Review Customer Service project scopes, store blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
• Assess and specify alternative components.
• Collaborate with contractors to ensure stores meet operational standards.
• Design and implement technical training modules for internal and external use, which include progress metrics, participation tracking, pass/fail analysis, and certification protocols.
• Adjust System CX and recommend software and parameter modifications for optimal performance.
• Conduct or oversee system energy analyses for enhanced operation.
• Execute other duties as assigned.
• Associate’s (AA) degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• 5–7 years of relevant HVAC/R experience and/or training with HFC & CO2.
• R290 experience is advantageous.
• Certification in refrigerant handling and usage is preferred.
• Proficient in reading, understanding, and utilizing assembly drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, testing, and repairing electromechanical components.
• Awareness of necessary ESD precautions with sensitive electronic hardware.
• Familiar with hand tools, refrigeration tools like evacuation and glycol pumps, and standard supermarket-maintenance tools.
• Capable of using computers and software tools to modify parameters and diagnose issues.
• Knowledgeable in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and IBM Notes email applications.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• Flexible to work different daily schedules based on client availability.
• Up to 90% overnight travel is required.
• A valid driver’s license in the state of residency is mandatory.
• A valid passport or the ability to obtain one immediately is required.
• Demonstrated experience in commercial refrigeration service and installation.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and customer service skills.
• Reliable transportation is necessary.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned regions in Florida.
• Must provide personal tools and equipment.
• Capability to perform required physical activities, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, stooping, and lifting up to 10 lbs frequently and over 25 lbs infrequently.
• Proficient in using computers and communicating with employees, supervisors, managers, vendors, suppliers, and customers.
• Competitive 1099 contractor compensation of $3,900 per week.
