YouTube Video Editor – Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Edit long-form YouTube videos utilizing raw footage, screen recordings, and scripts, which include talking-head segments, UI/UX assessments, product explorations, and educational materials.

• Take charge of pacing and narrative in the edit to enhance viewer engagement.

• Refine dialogue and incorporate tasteful music and sound effects.

• Execute color correction and produce clean captions/subtitles.

• Introduce straightforward on-screen text and callouts to elucidate UI specifics.

• Deliver edits within a consistent timeline.

• Integrate feedback promptly in short cycles.

• Maintain organized project files.

• Collaborate directly with Rachel How on the Mobbin YouTube channel and her personal platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• A portfolio or channel showcasing effective storytelling through editing.

• Proficient skills in pacing, sound design, and visual clarity.

• Familiarity with design-centric visual content and understanding of Mobbin’s audience and branding.

• Knowledge of YouTube retention metrics, hooks, and the significance of the initial 30 seconds.

• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software.

• Capability to manage the schedule of an independent contractor.

• Strong communication skills and adherence to agreed deadlines.

• Ability to identify issues early on.

• Bonus: Skills in After Effects for motion graphics.

• Bonus: Prior collaboration experience using Frame.io or a similar platform.

• Bonus: Aesthetic sense in thumbnail design.

• Bonus: Experience editing for other YouTube channels.

• Capacity to work across any timezone with reasonable overlap with SGT.
