Health Content Video Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Capture premium footage and conduct interviews for diverse projects utilizing cinematic cameras, lenses, sliders, GoPros, EyeDirect, field monitors, and prompters.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager and producer for effective shoot planning and equipment selection.

• Act as a second camera operator, grip, or drone safety spotter as required.

• Film in active operating rooms while adhering to safety protocols.

• Ingest footage using the Mac editing system in conjunction with the Quantum server and CatDV.

• Edit departmental content on a Mac platform utilizing Final Cut Pro.

• Work alongside producers and/or Project Managers to meet video editing requirements.

• Film and/or edit provider profiles, lectures, digital storytelling projects, and other assigned tasks.

• Monitor project hours and report weekly to the Billing Coordinator and Project Manager.

• Support the Senior Editor in preparing for project archiving.

• Assist the Studio Engineer with control room and studio coverage as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Communications, Media, Film, or other related fields.

• Relevant experience or skills may compensate for educational qualifications.

• Two years of filming experience predominantly using cinematic cameras and lenses, along with other field lighting and audio recording equipment.

• One year of experience in video editing.

• Proficient in filming high-quality footage and interviews using cinematic cameras and lenses, suitable lighting setups, and field and broadcast equipment.

• Competent in ingesting and editing videos on Final Cut Pro, interfacing with other software and technologies.

• Capable of assisting with archiving, color correction, and final file preparation.

• Ability to work in a studio and control room environment during tapings.

• Outstanding communication and organizational abilities, calm and pleasant demeanor, collaborative nature, and problem-solving skills under pressure.

• Capacity to perform tasks in a stationary position for extended durations.

• Willingness to travel throughout the hospital system.

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information effectively.

• Capability to move materials and tools throughout the hospital system.

• In certain locations, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Must adhere to the annual influenza prevention program, including vaccination or an approved exemption.
