This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +4 more states.
• Supervise teams consisting of 5 to 10 personnel per project, ensuring that work output remains on track and adheres to schedules.
• Oversee the quality of output and proactively identify issues prior to their impact on delivery.
• Offer guidance, feedback, and accountability throughout the duration of projects.
• Foster engagement and performance across a distributed, asynchronous workforce.
• Take ownership of the data labeling workflow operations, from team assignments to the final output.
• Ensure the accurate and timely transfer of labeled outputs to the engineering team.
• Keep detailed records of project status, team assignments, and tracking of output.
• Detect and resolve any workflow bottlenecks.
• Facilitate communication through Slack and email.
• Develop a dependable workforce that consistently produces high-quality output.
• Onboard new team members and clearly communicate expectations.
• Highlight recurring issues, feedback, and opportunities for improvement to leadership.
• Complete the application process, including a video introduction, assessment (if applicable), recruitment interview, executive interview, client interview, and background/reference check as part of the selection process.
• Proven experience managing a distributed workforce, community, or team of knowledge workers.
• Experience in community management, workforce operations, or people management within an asynchronous remote setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to provide clear direction and constructive feedback within a distributed team.
• Highly organized; capable of managing multiple team members and project workstreams concurrently.
• Competence in managing output quality without needing to understand technical production specifics.
• Proactive in communication and escalation of issues at early stages.
• Self-motivated and dependable in a fully remote, asynchronous environment.
• Nice to have: experience managing Slack communities or groups of distributed knowledge workers.
• Nice to have: background in data labeling, AI training data, or operations related to knowledge work.
• Nice to have: prior experience in forward-deployed or embedded operations.
• Nice to have: familiarity with Notion, Airtable, or similar workflow-tracking tools.
• Nice to have: experience in an early-stage AI or technology company.
• Updated resume is mandatory.
• A short Loom video of 1 to 2 minutes is required; candidates must submit a Loom video to proceed in the selection process.
• Compensation in USD, paid bi-monthly on the 15th and 30th.
