This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Assess compensability and coverage matters for workers' compensation claims involving lost time.
β’ Efficiently oversee a portfolio of lost-time claims across various jurisdictions.
β’ Negotiate and facilitate settlements with management's oversight.
β’ Collect medical and factual information to evaluate compensability.
β’ Supervise external investigations and manage litigation files within specified authority.
β’ Coordinate and maintain communication with claimants, their attorneys, outside investigators, and rehabilitation specialists.
β’ Sustain regular contact with insured parties, account representatives, and medical providers.
β’ Preferred experience with insurance carriers.
β’ Background in managing lost time or litigated claims.
β’ Knowledge of medical terminology is essential.
β’ Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
β’ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
β’ A bachelorβs degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant Workers' Compensation claims experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
β’ Claims Adjuster Designation or SIP Certification is mandatory.
β’ Prior experience adjusting claims in Texas is required.
β’ Experience in Oklahoma and Alaska is preferred.
