This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage liability claims directly, with a focus on employers' liability claims under Part B of a conventional Workers’ Compensation Policy.
• Oversee a portfolio of litigated and intricate liability claims associated with business owner policies.
• Evaluate coverage matters under Workers Compensation and Businessowners coverage forms, including standard industry forms and endorsements.
• Investigate, analyze, and assess new loss notifications and claim submissions.
• Accurately position claims in accordance with applicable coverage.
• Collaborate to establish suitable claim reserves.
• Utilize sound judgment in managing ALAE throughout the claims investigation process.
• Document claim files according to set guidelines.
• Develop strategies for claims resolution while maintaining regular communication with stakeholders.
• Prepare coverage letters.
• Assess claims and maintain frequent communication with attorneys and other involved parties.
• Acquire and retain adjuster licenses as required.
• Excellent analytical abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proper grammar and the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of complex medical injuries, including records review and treatment plans.
• Capability to work independently and meet designated deadlines.
• Ability to respond to inquiries promptly and with a sense of urgency.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with others.
• Proficiency in multitasking and managing interruptions efficiently.
• Ability to adhere to instructions and established procedures.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Microsoft applications, and internet applications.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to perform under pressure and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations.
• BA/BS degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a Juris Doctorate with at least 3 years of experience.
• CPCU or other industry designation is advantageous.
• State adjuster license is mandatory.
• Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in general liability or workers' compensation claims adjusting is required.
