This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
β’ Review and evaluate construction claims, encompassing delays, disruptions, accelerations, and other impact-related claims.
β’ Determine the legitimacy and potential effects of claims on project timelines, budgets, and resources.
β’ Create comprehensive claims reports that include cause-effect analyses, quantum assessments, and resolution recommendations.
β’ Gather, organize, and maintain documentation pertinent to claims, such as contracts, change orders, correspondence, schedules, and cost records.
β’ Ensure that claims documentation adheres to contractual, legal, and regulatory standards.
β’ Collaborate with legal counsel, project managers, and senior leadership to formulate and execute claim-resolution strategies.
β’ Engage in negotiations, mediation, and arbitration processes.
β’ Offer expert testimony and support during legal proceedings when required.
β’ Identify potential claims and disputes early, providing proactive advice to mitigate risks.
β’ Assist in the development and implementation of best practices for claims management.
β’ Coordinate with project teams, contractors, subcontractors, and external consultants.
β’ Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
β’ Provide training and mentorship to junior staff on claims analysis and management.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Law, or a related discipline.
β’ At least 8 years of experience in construction claims analysis, particularly with large-scale infrastructure projects.
β’ In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, claims management, and dispute resolution processes.
β’ Experience with various construction delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build (DBB), Design-Build (DB), and Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR).
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for interpreting complex data and drawing accurate conclusions.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting findings clearly and convincingly.
β’ Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Primavera 6, MS Project) and claims analysis tools.
β’ Solid understanding of the legal and regulatory aspects related to construction claims.
β’ Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
β’ Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including drug and background checks.
β’ A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CCM, PMP, RICS) is preferred.
