Workers Compensation Claims Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate Lost-Time Workers Compensation claims for clients to ascertain entitled benefits.

• Maintain ongoing claim adjudication in alignment with service benchmarks, industry standards, and client expectations.

• Assess and manage claims using action plans by investigating and collecting information to establish claim exposure.

• Negotiate claim settlements within the assigned authority limits.

• Update claimants and clients on claim activities and processing status.

• Submit claims to the excess carrier and respond to inquiries with professionalism and promptness.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

• Relevant professional certification for the specific line of business is favored.

• A minimum of 1 year of claims management experience or a comparable mix of education and experience is required.

• Knowledge of jurisdiction: WV is preferred.

• Licensing is not a requirement.

• Ability to think clearly and conceptually.

• Strong judgment, problem-solving, analytical skills, and discretion.

• Capacity to manage work-related stress effectively.

• Capability to juggle multiple priorities at once.

• Ability to adhere to deadlines.

• Proficiency in computer keyboarding.

• Adequate hearing, vision, and verbal communication skills.
