Workers Compensation Claims Examiner – CA or NV License Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate workers' compensation claims on behalf of clients to ascertain benefits owed

• Maintain ongoing adjudication of claims in accordance with service expectations, industry standards, and client service needs

• Review and manage claims through action plans to achieve timely resolutions

• Conduct investigations and collect information to assess claim exposure

• Negotiate claim settlements within the specified authority

• Communicate updates on claim activity and processing with claimants and clients

• Report claims to the excess carrier

• Address requests for guidance in a professional and timely manner

• Collaborate and exchange insights within Sedgwick’s global network

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred

• Minimum of 5 years of claims management experience or a comparable combination of education and experience is required

• Must possess a license in California or Nevada

• Ability to think clearly and conceptually

• Strong judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical skills, and discretion

• Capability to manage work-related stress

• Proficient in handling multiple priorities at the same time

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Computer keyboarding skills

• Hearing, vision, and verbal communication abilities
