Senior Claims Specialist – General Liability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the quality investigation, assessment, negotiation, and resolution of commercial general liability claims.

• Manage expedited processes for litigated claims, including coverage matters, injuries, property damage, and contractual liability risks.

• Analyze new losses and handle coverage assessments, investigations, damage evaluations, reserving, and resolutions for non-litigated casualty claims.

• Administer the processes for bodily injury, auto material damage, and total loss claims.

• Conduct vehicle appraisals, diminished value evaluations, vendor network coordination, subrogation requests, salvage procedures, and heavy equipment appraisals.

• Set up timely and precise reserves for claims and expenses.

• Negotiate and communicate claim settlements within authorized limits.

• Participate in regional roundtable discussions as required.

• Draft Reservation of Rights, Coverage Denial, and other intricate correspondence.

• Maintain an efficient diary system and document claim file activities according to established protocols.

• Manage file inventory to ensure cases are resolved promptly.

• Handle files in accordance with state regulations.

• Deliver exceptional customer service to insured individuals, agents, and both internal and external clients.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred 3-5 years of experience in casualty claims.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and presentation skills.

• Proficient in computer applications.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Understanding of tort and contract law.

• Experience in auditing and reviewing casualty claim files.

• Possession of independent adjuster licenses for Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, or the ability to obtain these licenses within 90 days of hire.

• BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
