WordPress Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Improve consumer-oriented WordPress websites

• Create and manage websites utilizing WordPress and PHP

• Provide a smooth, responsive frontend user experience

• Develop, document, and execute technical SEO requirements alongside SEO and content teams

• Implement SEO best practices, focusing on site speed, mobile-first indexing, and schema markup

• Enhance code efficiency and resolve potential issues

• Ensure that development efforts lead to a fast and reliable website

• Work collaboratively with colleagues in a dynamic environment

• Suggest solutions that enhance efficiency and code quality

⛳️ Requirements

• Located in Latin America

• 3 to 5+ years of experience with the required technology stack

• Proficient in frontend development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX

• Skilled in CSS, SCSS, jQuery, JavaScript, scoping JS and CSS, as well as AJAX requests and responses

• Expertise in PHP, including custom classes, hooks, filters, actions, and debugging

• Strong background with WordPress, including CPTs, custom PHP templates, plugins, themes, built-in WordPress functions, and troubleshooting

• Familiarity with REST and/or GraphQL APIs, external endpoints, JSON payloads, request/response management, and data integration using PHP and JavaScript

• Experience with MySQL and efficient database querying

• 2+ years of experience using Git for WordPress development

• Proficient with Git command line and repository management

• Capability to identify and mitigate potential issues

• Willingness to work during US Central or Eastern time office hours

• Experience with ACF and Gutenberg is advantageous but not mandatory

• Familiarity with GA4 and Google Tag Manager is a plus
