Windows Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level Windows infrastructure solutions.

• Implement and oversee infrastructure across VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS, and hybrid settings.

• Create automation solutions utilizing PowerShell and various scripting technologies.

• Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to execute infrastructure projects and technical solutions.

• Generate technical documentation, implementation strategies, and operational support resources.

• Diagnose intricate infrastructure, operating system, virtualization, and cloud-related issues.

• Engage in project delivery tasks, including after-hours implementations as needed.

• Handle multiple priorities within a cooperative team setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering.

• Extensive experience in Windows Server administration and enterprise infrastructure platforms.

• Current expertise in supporting Windows, SQL, and cloud environments.

• Proficiency in automation and script development, with a preference for PowerShell.

• Familiarity with VMware, Hyper-V, Oracle VM (OVM), Azure, and AWS.

• Comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, OpenSSL, BIND, and Sendmail.

• Experience in designing and supporting highly available and resilient infrastructure solutions.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.

• Capability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or relevant work experience.

• Experience with Terraform or Ansible is a plus.

• Familiarity with supporting containerized or cloud-native platforms is preferred.

• Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware, or similar are advantageous.

• Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity solutions is preferred.
