Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Execute advanced engineering, design, development, configuration, installation, administration, maintenance, and upgrades of cloud infrastructure components.

• Create and implement automated solutions for the deployment, monitoring, and upkeep of cloud-based infrastructures.

• Apply continuous improvement methodologies and data-driven analysis to enhance delivery timelines and quality.

• Diagnose and provide guidance on complex infrastructure issues for client escalations and internal operations.

• Contribute to the development and commercialization of custom value-added cloud services.

• Work alongside customers to create operational runbooks and establish alerting telemetry.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to both internal and external clients.

• Lead service transition teams in building greenfield cloud environments, management tools for brownfield environments, and infrastructure migrations to cloud platforms.

• Support in the development and training of team members.

• Stay updated on advancements and trends within the Microsoft and Azure ecosystems, making recommendations for management.

• Keep current configuration documentation for client cloud setups and deployments.

• Engage technically with customers and direct infrastructure project deployments for client environments using a consultative problem-solving method.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in a technical or service organization with hands-on cloud work.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Prior professional services or client-facing experience.

• In-depth knowledge of hyperscaler cloud technologies, particularly Azure.

• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL.

• Advanced understanding of Azure networking, including NSGs, WAFs, VPN gateways, and more.

• Proven track record in practical problem-solving, along with excellent communication and documentation abilities.

• Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, Ansible, and Terraform.

• Experience in migrating workloads from on-premises systems to cloud infrastructures.

• Familiarity with Azure storage and networking constructs.

• Knowledge of Azure and Windows high availability setups, administration, and troubleshooting.

• Familiar with SQL Always-On deployment and configuration.

• Understanding of Azure SQL PaaS and WebApp services.

• Capability to work collaboratively and lead in a team-oriented environment.

• Experience working within agile or ITIL frameworks, including change management and regulated environments.

• Comprehension of IT and Microsoft Azure security best practices.

• Ability to understand, map controls, and implement InfoSec and compliance frameworks.

• Required certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).

• Required certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).

• Required certifications: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-800/AZ-801).

• Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200) must be obtained within the first 90 days.
