This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.

📋 Description

• Fulfill contractual duties and customer-required tasks alongside site leadership.

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, or part replacements to rectify malfunctions.

• Diagnose intricate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on variable-pitch and variable-speed turbines.

• Support various aspects of site operations as instructed by the manager with minimal oversight.

• Carry out diagnostic electrical analyses.

• Record all activities using computer-based service reporting protocols.

• Collaborate and respond to GE’s remote operations center when required.

• Travel and provide assistance at other locations as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Successful completion of a Technical Knowledge Assessment.

• At least 1 year of experience as a Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic, or completion of a Wind Certificate Program/Associates Degree in Energy, or a minimum of 2 years of electrical work experience.

• Flexibility to work rotating shift schedules and be on-call as per site requirements.

• Willingness to assist at other sites and travel as needed.

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

• Capability to handle repetitive weights of approximately 50 lbs.

• Ability to climb towers up to 300 feet daily.

• Must comply with specified manufacturer weight limits, not exceeding 300 lbs including necessary gear.

• Proficient in understanding electrical schematic drawings, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.

• Willingness and ability to work in industrial, manufacturing, and power industry facilities.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable.
