Web Engineer – React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design and create scalable web applications and pages utilizing React and Node.js.

• Develop solutions that facilitate Organic Search, Growth, and GEO initiatives across a vast number of web pages.

• Work on the architecture of pages, content scaling, and implementing structured data.

• Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot existing web applications and websites.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, Growth, SEO, and other stakeholders to comprehend requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

• Contribute to efforts aimed at enhancing visibility on both traditional search engines and AI-driven search platforms.

• Work with Content Management Systems and content-focused web experiences.

• Develop and utilize APIs and integrate services as necessary.

• Test solutions across various browsers and devices to identify and resolve technical issues.

• Utilize Git-based source control and modern development workflows.

• Offer ideas for enhancing applications, development processes, and the team's ability to deliver solutions at scale.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, and project planning.

• Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver high-quality solutions within established timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

• Significant professional experience in modern web development.

• Strong expertise in React.js and its fundamental principles.

• Proficient in Node.js with experience in building or supporting server-side web applications and services.

• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

• Experience in creating maintainable, scalable, and reusable web solutions.

• Good grasp of modern frontend development practices, tools, and build processes.

• Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating frontend and backend services.

• Solid understanding of Git and collaborative software development workflows.

• Proven experience in implementing responsive and cross-browser web solutions.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• A curious and proactive attitude, with the confidence to investigate issues and propose enhancements.

• Comfortable working on process-related initiatives alongside core software development.

• Experience in Agile and cross-functional team environments.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, capable of effectively engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
