Web Developer – Application Support, Systems Testing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, enhance, and sustain web-based applications that support HSR and ORD.

• Connect applications with Microsoft SQL Server databases.

• Create and uphold clean, testable application code.

• Develop and adjust SQL queries and stored procedures.

• Conduct functional, integration, regression, and performance-focused application testing.

• Evaluate application enhancements and fixes prior to implementation.

• Reproduce, analyze, document, and resolve application defects.

• Troubleshoot issues related to web, database, and application integration.

• Oversee the deployment and implementation of new and updated applications.

• Monitor and address reported problems, alerts, and production issues.

• Resolve issues stemming from changes within the broader IT environment.

• Collaborate with users and team members to pinpoint enhancements in application navigation, functionality, and user experience.

• Maintain technical documentation that details application functionality, changes, testing, and issue resolution.

• Clearly communicate technical challenges and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

• Assist with quick-turn requests, ad hoc projects, and evolving HSR/ORD requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–5 years of experience in SQL database administration and programming.

• Experience in developing and maintaining database-driven web applications.

• Proficient in SQL queries and stored procedures.

• Proven experience in application testing and debugging.

• Experience troubleshooting production applications.

• Knowledge of web application security principles, including cross-site scripting prevention and remediation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• ColdFusion/CFML application development experience is a plus.

• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, SQL, and AJAX is desired.

• ColdFusion Server administration experience is preferred.

• Experience with SQL Server-backed web applications is advantageous.

• Background in structured software/system testing and defect resolution is desirable.

• Experience in supporting legacy applications while implementing incremental improvements is a plus.
