This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Enhance the technical performance, search visibility, and overall quality of Keeper’s global web assets.
• Perform technical SEO audits focusing on crawlability, indexation, site structure, internal linking, redirects, canonicalization, JavaScript rendering, and Core Web Vitals.
• Monitor and enhance website health utilizing Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Semrush, PageSpeed Insights, and analytics platforms.
• Identify technical issues impacting organic search performance and collaborate with Development, Design, and Marketing teams to address them.
• Assist in SEO implementation across WordPress, covering metadata, structured data, XML sitemaps, robots.txt, redirects, templates, and page-level optimizations.
• Analyze Keeper content using Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other AI search interfaces.
• Implement GEO principles to enhance content structure, entity clarity, topical authority, internal linking, and accurate brand/product representation in AI-generated responses.
• Directly apply SEO and GEO recommendations or provide technical requirements and tickets for Development.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and GitHub Copilot to enhance development, analysis, debugging, auditing, and workflow efficiency.
• Employ scripts, APIs, or automation to streamline audits, reporting, internal linking analysis, and recurring SEO processes.
• Support international SEO initiatives, including hreflang implementation, localization coverage, and identifying missing or incorrect translations.
• Stay updated on search algorithms, AI search behavior, structured data, and technical SEO best practices.
• Implement and verify canonical tags, redirects, metadata, structured data, and search-related website components.
• Monitor crawlability and indexability, including robots.txt, XML sitemaps, canonicalization, and search engine directives.
• Resolve broken links, duplicate content, redirect chains, orphaned pages, and site architecture challenges.
• Develop improvements in internal linking and information architecture.
• Validate SEO requirements during launches, migrations, redesigns, and the development of new pages.
• Monitor production websites for technical regressions that affect search performance.
• Troubleshoot HTML, CSS, JavaScript, rendering, APIs, and content management systems.
• Use analytics and SEO platforms to uncover opportunities, measure results, and prioritize enhancements.
• Maintain documentation of technical SEO standards, development requirements, and recurring audit processes.
• Collaborate effectively with Search Optimization, Product Marketing, Engineering, Development, Design, and Marketing teams.
• Over 3 years of professional web development experience with hands-on technical SEO responsibilities.
• Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience in developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting production websites.
• Practical experience in implementing canonical tags, redirects, structured data, metadata, XML sitemaps, and robots.txt.
• Comprehensive understanding of search engine crawling, rendering, and indexing behavior.
• Proven experience in identifying and resolving duplicate content, canonicalization, redirect, and site architecture issues.
• Familiarity with international SEO concepts such as hreflang, localization, and multilingual website architecture.
• Understanding of website performance, Core Web Vitals, and frontend optimization.
• Knowledge of modern web frameworks, content management systems, and Git-based development workflows.
• Proficient in using technical SEO and web analysis tools like Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with web analytics platforms and using data to assess website and search performance.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to investigate issues across both web development and SEO layers.
• Capacity to work efficiently across Product Marketing, Search Optimization, and Engineering teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify technical issues on large websites.
• Willingness and capability to effectively utilize AI-assisted development and analysis tools to enhance coding, auditing, debugging, and documentation.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Systems, Marketing Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
