Software Engineer – Web

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create responsive and accessible web applications along with reusable UI components.

• Develop features utilizing modern JavaScript/TypeScript and front-end frameworks.

• Integrate APIs, authentication methods, analytics, and third-party services.

• Convert product and design specifications into production-ready solutions.

• Guarantee consistent functionality across various browsers and devices.

• Enhance front-end performance, reliability, and overall usability.

• Test essential user pathways across different browsers, devices, and network conditions.

• Implement automated testing and verify accessibility, performance, and functional criteria.

• Investigate production issues and minimize recurring defects.

• Deploy and maintain web applications within AWS environments.

• Collaborate with Platform/SRE engineers regarding hosting and operational readiness.

• Troubleshoot application and infrastructure challenges in the production environment.

• Manage application configurations and environment-specific settings.

• Monitor application health, errors, and performance metrics.

• Engage in deployment and rollback procedures while establishing CI/CD workflows.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, and engage in code reviews.

• Adhere to secure development practices to safeguard credentials and user data.

• Document technical decisions and operational processes.

• Participate in production-support rotation as necessary.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, QA, Security, and Platform Engineering teams.

• Report directly to the Head of Engineering as an individual contributor.

• Partner with the Principal Platform Engineer on AWS infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, and operational readiness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in developing production web applications.

• Proficient in JavaScript and/or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Experience with contemporary front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, or similar.

• Proven experience in building responsive and accessible web applications.

• Hands-on experience with API integration and authentication systems.

• Knowledge of browser security and standard web application security practices.

• Experience in writing and maintaining automated tests.

• Strong expertise in Git and CI/CD practices.

• Practical experience in deploying and troubleshooting applications in AWS.

• An active AWS certification is mandatory.

• AWS Certified Developer – Associate certification is preferred.

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging capabilities.

• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Comfortable using AI-assisted and agentic coding tools while exercising strong technical judgment.

• Capability to develop software with and without AI coding assistants.

• Ability to independently design, write, debug, test, and maintain production code.

• Skill in reviewing and validating AI-generated code.

• Competence in identifying security, reliability, and maintainability issues in AI-generated implementations.

• Ability to protect proprietary code, credentials, customer information, and other sensitive data when utilizing AI tools.
