This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, edit, and finalize web content, including database entries, user manuals, and website pages.
• Manage content approvals in collaboration with FHWA contacts and external partners.
• Produce and refine content for websites, SharePoint, and Google Sites in accordance with established style guidelines.
• Upload, modify, and publish web content utilizing Drupal, SharePoint, and Google Sites.
• Enhance text for search engine optimization and ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Design and create graphics tailored for web publication.
• Organize and monitor quarterly content certifications.
• Detect and resolve broken links and other website maintenance issues.
• Oversee web pages to ensure timely updates are made.
• Suggest enhancements for readability, structure, and navigation.
• Create training materials and facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions on web content and database tools.
• Ensure quality control for web content and database entries.
• Modify dropdown values, clean data, and evaluate new features.
• 5–7 years of experience in web content management, including at least 3 years within the past 5 years.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• Proficiency in content management systems like Drupal, SharePoint, or Google Sites for web publishing and upkeep.
• Experience in supporting complex projects and transformation initiatives within the federal government.
• Capacity to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Strategic, forward-thinking perspective on marketing trends and technologies.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Capability to handle competing deadlines.
• Comfort in managing complex client relationships.
• Excellent analytical and time-management skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and collaborate effectively with others.
• Proficiency in articulating thoughts, ideas, and solutions clearly in both written and verbal communication.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure and in fast-paced settings.
• Capacity to receive client feedback and implement changes promptly and effectively.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex issues.
• Experience in the transportation sector, especially in highway or surface transportation research, is strongly preferred.
• Remote work is expected.
• Some travel for client engagements may be necessary.
