This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of and meet assigned annual targets for new business revenue and pipeline quotas.
• Identify, create, qualify, and progress strategic Wealth opportunities through to closure.
• Formulate and implement targeted account and market development strategies.
• Recognize key organizations, buyers, influencers, consultants, and significant market events.
• Generate qualified opportunities through direct outreach, relationship building, referrals, and consultant channels.
• Keep prospect, activity, pipeline, next steps, and forecast data updated in the company CRM.
• Lead initial discovery discussions focusing on business priorities, buying criteria, stakeholders, competition, timing, and funding.
• Utilize qualification methodologies to document pursuit viability, decision criteria, risks, timing, and next actions.
• Advise on the timing and methods for Alight's engagement in opportunities.
• Convert prospect challenges into compelling value propositions across defined benefit, defined contribution, retirement advice, and self-directed brokerage solutions.
• Collaborate with solutions, pricing, proposal, legal, and operational teams on pursuit and proposal strategies.
• Provide market and buyer insights throughout RFP, pricing, negotiation, and contracting processes.
• Establish relationships with senior personnel, benefits, finance, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
• Position Alight’s Wealth capabilities in the context of retirement opportunities and total retirement outsourcing strategies.
• Represent Alight at industry events, conferences, consultant meetings, and prospect engagements.
• Experience in enterprise business development or sales within the retirement, benefits, HR outsourcing, or a related sector.
• Proven track record of achieving sales outcomes, generating qualified pipeline, advancing opportunities, and securing new client relationships against set goals.
• Experience with complex, multi-stakeholder buying processes.
• Strong skills in discovery, executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and forecasting.
• Ability to translate client requirements into unique business and solution value.
• Willingness and capacity to travel according to client and business needs.
• Preferred: experience with public sector defined benefits, defined contribution, retirement advice, and brokerage solutions.
• Preferred: familiarity with benefits consultants and advisory firms.
• Preferred: understanding of total retirement outsourcing connected-benefits strategies.
• FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses, or the willingness and eligibility to obtain the necessary licenses.
• Must have work authorization in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
