
Water Process Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
β’ Develop evaluations for water quality that assess source water quality, the efficiency of treatment processes, and the quality of water in distribution systems.
β’ Plan and execute bench and pilot tests to assess water treatment methodologies.
β’ Create experiments and systems to analyze treatment impacts on water quality and refine full-scale design specifications.
β’ Conduct engineering design calculations and desktop assessments related to water treatment processes and various scenarios.
β’ Carry out calculations for chemical dosing and storage, determine pump sizes, and select monitoring equipment for processes.
β’ Perform engineering evaluations of flood mitigation project submissions.
β’ Review and validate flood damage assessments, calculations, and engineering designs.
β’ Execute benefit-cost analyses.
β’ Offer permitting and compliance support for plant rerating, treatment modifications, upgrades, and performance demonstrations.
β’ Draft documents, formulate responses for regulatory agencies, and collaborate with utilities to pinpoint deficiencies and ensure compliance.
β’ Complete technical writing and create presentation materials for technical groups, clients, and water industry conferences.
β’ Travel within the country up to 25% of the time.
β’ A Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
β’ At least 3 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Environmental Engineer, Civil Engineer, or in a related field.
β’ Possession of Professional Engineering (PE) Licensure.
β’ Demonstrated experience with water, wastewater, and stormwater utility projects.
β’ Proficiency in water process planning, modeling, condition assessment, and design.
β’ Familiarity with regulatory experimental design.
β’ Competence in using AutoCAD.
β’ Proficiency in GIS.
β’ Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
β’ Capability in system and experimental design for pilot testing.
β’ Experience with RTW4 Modeling.
β’ Familiarity with BIOWIN.
β’ Proficiency in Dupont WAVE.
β’ Experience with FDEP Oculus.
β’ Knowledge of Power BI.
β’ Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%.
