Water Engineering Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee current water engineering projects and expand business opportunities in Kansas, Omaha, and other regions.

• Provide strategic leadership in the planning, design, and implementation of water infrastructure initiatives, including systems for treatment, pumping, conveyance, storage, and distribution.

• Act as a senior partner for clients, fostering enduring relationships from the project planning phase through to execution and beyond.

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers and designers, establishing technical guidance.

• Develop innovative and resilient solutions to intricate water-related challenges.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate project risks, ensure quality standards, and promote consistent project results.

• Contribute to the growth of the practice through the creation of proposals, strategic initiatives, client relationship building, and enhancing market presence.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or a related engineering discipline.

• Registration as a Professional Engineer.

• Extensive experience in leading the design and execution of water and/or wastewater treatment and conveyance projects.

• Preferred: At least fifteen (15) years of experience in spearheading market or regional growth strategies, including responsibilities for business development, client growth, and delivery performance.

• Proven success in managing complex, multidisciplinary project portfolios.

• Strong ability to influence and collaborate at the executive level.

• Previous experience in, or strong alignment with, an employee-owned organization.

• Must be a resident of Wichita, Kansas, or Omaha, Nebraska, and surrounding regions.

• Must be eligible to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
